With Bridge, we can create new folders, rename folders and images, and delete folders and images. It can also copy or move entire folders from one location to another. Bridge lets us copy or move images from one folder to another. But we can also use Bridge to find the images we're looking for on our computer. Adobe Bridge Features Overviewīefore we look at Adobe Bridge in more detail, let's quickly go over some of the many great features that Bridge has to offer. If you intend to use XnView in a company, you must purchase a license. You can continue to use it for non-commercial use but it does require a paid license for commercial use. Their web page has an incomplete list of file formats supported (e.g., it still does not show cr3 or afphoto) and there is no list of supported cameras that I can find.Īs stated by robgendreau above, you can try XnView MP for free. XnView MP is frequently updated but like most programs other than than Adobe and Canon's own software it took quite a while to reverse engineer Canon's new cr3 raw format. It also supports templates for file renaming with similar capabilities as the Adobe Bride renaming on import or via the bulk rename tool although the UI for defining the renaming is different. ![]() XnView MP is compatible with keywords and ratings in xmp files that I previously populated via Bridge and/or FastRawViewer. I used both Photoshop/Bridge and Affinity Photo/XnView for a couple of years before I decided to finally switch completely over to Affinity Photo/XnView. XnView MP supports the display of a thumbnail of native Affinity Photo afphoto files instead of just the Affinity Photo icon that I see with Bridge CS6 / Bridge CC. I migrated from Photoshop CS6 / Bridge CS6 (long past end of support) to Affinity Photo / XnView MP. ![]()
